Instructions are here. So this was the second text I recieved on April 3rd 2009.
So, I received 8 texts from the Cell Everything Experience, to read the participants instructions click here. This was the first text. I can’t guarantee they will all be posted in the order they were received though, and I wish I could get these up faster…but it’s a process, like everything.
Amazing art night on April 3rd 2009. I participated in two events. The first was an art opening for Strange Coupling. I was paired with a University of Washington student and we collaborated on a video. The result is posted on my YouTube page and there’s a link a few posts down. While I was at the art opening for Strange Co. another spectacular event was taking place called Cell Everything. The brainchild of Genius Greg Lundgren, he enlisted 50 or so artists to give him their cell phone number. For one night only, April 3rd 2009, from 7:00pm-10:00pm people were invited to call the numbers. I am sure all sorts of shenanigans took place. I left a voice mail with instructions to send me a text. I plan to draw the texts over the next week and post them to my blog. Here’s the stats for what happened last night during Cell Everything.
When callers dialed, here’s the voice mail instructions from my end: Hello and thanks for calling. As part of Cell Everything I am proposing a text experiment. Hoping you are text capable, please hang up and text me some words. A short Poem, some prose, describe an image, a small story perhaps.
Then I will choose several texts and create drawings over the next week. The drawings will be posted to my blog. I will respond with my blog URL when you text. Thanks for playing.
