Smoke Farm Arts Festival

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

This years Lo-Fi festival has proven to be a winner. I set up an interior style installation within an alcove of a large tree. Using a rug, lamp, old theatre seats and several objects, participants could play within the space. I recorded some dialogue (which I am still sorting through) and took lots and lots of still photos, some anaolg and lots of digital. Check the page link on the right for more digital pics.

Purple Pictures at Sears Portrait Studio

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

About 40 people came out to the studio on August 1st, 2009. This was probably the last of this series, we rotated through the color wheel from red, orange, yellow, green, blue to purple. It was a lot of fun, a ton of work, a really enlightening experience, and now I have a ton of compiling, sorting, mailing, organizing and more to do. I am truly blessed to have such amazing people that support me in art and life. 20 or so from this group was my immediate family from my mother’s side. This process over the last year has proved to be so enlightening in terms of what it means to belong. How one can put out a call, and how others respond, and what it means to be a consumer and how corporations create a sense of belonging as well. Here’s the big group and check out the side link for more shots from Sears in Purple!Sears in Purple
