The Wooden Photograph

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I have been thinking about what makes a photograph and have been in conversation with friends about photography. Curious about how light is involved in the process, my friend Todd Jannausch, who is taking a history of photography course right now, reminded me that it’s essentially about ‘Light and Time.’ So I converted one of my photos into a duotone image and had it laser cut. Still holding true to the concepts of ‘Light and Time’, here’s my first proof. I am calling it a wooden photograph, this one is titled, “Searching for The Way.”
